who are you

  • MBO level 3/4 working and thinking skills.
  • Experience working in the food industry.
  • You speak Dutch or English (as long as you can communicate clearly with your colleagues, you’re good).
  • No issues with working in a 3-shift system (06:00 – 14:00 – 22:00).
  • Starting your night shift on Sunday at 22:00? No problem!
  • You have an eye for hygiene (working with hairnets and keeping machines clean is standard here).
  • Jewelry, makeup, fake eyelashes, and nails? Not on this work floor!
  • Excited to learn and develop yourself into a top operator!

what are you going to do

As a Bakery Operator, you’ll be at the heart of the production process. You start your day – or night, depending on your shift – with a quick check to ensure everything is set to make the tastiest donuts in the Netherlands. The work is divided across three different departments, starting in the packaging department. Here, you make sure the machines are set up correctly and all packaging materials are restocked. While the robots carefully pack the donuts, you keep an eye on things and quickly solve any issues to prevent delays in the process.

Got the hang of it? Then you’ll move on to the injection and decoration department, where you can unleash your creativity as a Bakery Operator. Here, the donuts are filled with delicious jams and chocolate, and topped with sugar, glaze, or sprinkles. As an operator, you ensure that every machine runs smoothly and the donuts get their finishing touch so they look perfect when they hit the stores.

The most challenging department is the bakery itself, where the real magic happens. In this department, the Bakery Operator is responsible for weighing the ingredients, carefully monitoring the baking process in the oven and freezer, and adjusting as needed. This is where your knowledge of the production process comes into play: you know exactly how dough reacts to heat and moisture, and you keep a close eye on the entire process to ensure each donut is perfectly baked.

In addition to these daily tasks, you ensure that all machines remain clean and hygienic. Safety and food quality are top priorities, and you play a crucial role in adhering to strict hygiene standards. In short, you ensure that the entire process – from batter to packaging – runs smoothly and according to plan!
