who are you
- Secondary Vocational School working and thinking level, preferably in technology or logistics.
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a production environment.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with German being a plus.
- You are a proactive problem solver who likes to take control.
- Knowledge of logistics processes and experience with MS-Office and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills, communicative, and always looking for the perfect balance between price, quality, and time.
what are you going to do
As an Operational / Tactical Buyer, you are responsible for the entire procurement process. You ensure that all raw materials and supplies are available on time, in the right quantities, and at the best price. You start your day by placing orders and following up on order confirmations. If there are issues with deliveries or invoices, you act quickly and efficiently to resolve them.
In addition to operational tasks, you are the key link between suppliers and your colleagues in production and logistics. You ensure smooth communication and make sure everyone is informed. If a delivery is delayed, you maintain oversight and ensure it doesn’t disrupt production. You’re quick to spot discrepancies and step in immediately if something goes off track.
You also manage the administrative side: maintaining supplier records, analyzing stock levels, and ordering exactly what’s needed based on your analysis. This allows you to strike the perfect balance between sufficient inventory and efficient purchasing. Furthermore, as an Operational / Tactical Buyer, you maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and ensure that partnerships are always performing at the highest level.
